Benvenuto a Milano, Italy's economic and financial capital, recognised worldwide as a centre of fashion and design.
Elegant, cosmopolitan, historic, modern, are a few words that can describe the richest and most expensive city in Italy. This is what we saw what Milano has to offer.
And then we arrived at our second destination: Bologna. University city. Perhaps the most progressive in the country. It combines Italian tradition with the energy of the new generation.
The carnivals date back to the 11th century and have evolved into a unique festival that attracts visitors from all over the world. The city is filled with magic and mystery during this period, which usually begins around late January or early February and culminates on Shrove Tuesday, just before the start of Lent.
Florence is a city located in the region of Tuscany. It is famous for its impressive Renaissance architecture, its rich cultural history and its contribution to art and literature.
The last days of the trip are over and it's time to go back. Florence airport is small and flights are usually very expensive. So, as I recommend, we bought the return ticket from Rome, which was very cheap and we decided to spend our last 2 nights in the capital of Italy (the 2 days in Rome).
